An Update: Album, Shows, Band…

Howdy, and a happy 2014 to you.

I heard that Nika Smith will be releasing a full length album this year. Neat! Stay in the loop, join the mailing list.

Thank you for joining us at Not My Dog last weekend and making the 2nd Annual Low Hanging Christmas Lights show a ton of fun! It is always wonderful to see so many familiar faces; your support means the world to all of us.

My well-hung, hunk of a friend, Jason Cabanaw, and I have formed a band called John Dark. We will be performing in Toronto at the Rivoli on Jan 29th. Come check us out, we have some new songs that we are looking forward to sharing with you.

I will be performing a couple of solo shows this month as well, alongside The Sun Harmonic and Mark Martyre in Kitchener, Guelph, and Toronto.

So there you have it. A new year. An album. A new band. A couple of shows. A new Shaman & The Hunt EP (more info to come). Good stuff to help combat this uninspired, apathetic, and generally disconnected rut.

I will leave you with this: The highlight of my night at last weekend’s show was seeing Joe (of Hungry Lake) singing along to “Mud (One Hundred & Three)“. This, and the band’s performance, made my night. I have the utmost admiration for this guy.

Hungry Lake – Keeper Of Night

Sincerely,
Nika
